In order to ensure that gates and barriers are working as they should, and providing you with the security that you need, they should be checked from time to time and serviced as required. They need a visual inspection to check for corrosion or cracks, and structural evaluation.
They also need mechanical testing to ensure they are opening and closing properly, and lubrication of all moving parts. Electricals and safety devices also need testing. Additional hardware such as card readers, keypads, and intercoms also need testing.
